Robot waiter: model answer
An Abu Dhabi company is developing a robot for use in the home and the service industry. The project started 3 years ago in Spain and it now has a model which is available to buy. The next major challenge is to produce a robot which recognises objects before picking them up. Once this has been achieved these robots can take over tasks in hotels by acting as waiters, and could also be useful in hospitals. Eventually these robots will be used in people’s homes when the price drops.

Emirati traditional life - sample summary #1
Emirati
traditional life
Main idea: It is important
to keep old traditions alive.
Summary:
Traditional Emirati sports are important part of the national
identity. Activities that used to be part of how the community survived are now
associated more with sport.
There is not enough interest in the traditional way of life amongst
young Emiratis although there are some students helping to keep the old
traditions alive.
They decided to show other young people that these traditions are
alive and an important part of the national heritage.
Many of the traditions started as part of economic necessity but now are normally sporting activities such
a falconry and dhow racing.
It is important that young people carry on these traditions or they
might be lost.
